Customer Presentations: Real-World Success Stories

ZDF Studios

ZDF Studios walked us through their implementation of a cloud-based media supply chain using Vidicore. From contract to delivery to VOD evaluation, the presentation covered SaaS integrations, metadata standards, and the balance between operational efficiency and corporate identity.

SWR

Together with Vidispine, SWR shared key insights from the SAM project implemented at SWR and SR. The session covered the system architecture, integration of Helmut, and how they tackled multiformat workflows, including valuable lessons learned.

NDR

NDR presented their AI initiatives, developed in collaboration with Vidispine and powered by DeepVA. The focus was on enhanced video analysis and metadata extraction—demonstrating how AI is already transforming media content management at NDR.

RTL

RTL’s session provided a thought-provoking look at AI in TV journalism. The team shared practical applications of AI in content creation and automation, as well as lessons learned—including ethical challenges and where AI has delivered (or failed to deliver) real value.

Breakout Sessions: Deep Dives into Innovation

MoovIT & VidiEditor

MoovIT and Vidispine introduced a seamless integration of Adobe graphics into VidiEditor. The session highlighted practical workflows for motion graphics and previewed how Helmut is expanding creative capabilities on VidiNet.

Wolftech

In a joint workshop, Wolftech and Vidispine showcased a powerful integration between story planning and MAM systems. AI-powered tools streamline editorial workflows from idea to publication, helping journalists stay focused while boosting efficiency.

Ad Signal

Ad Signal demonstrated how their deduplication technology is revolutionizing archive efficiency. Integrated into VidiNet, their solution helps cut storage costs by up to 60% and reduces carbon emissions by as much as 75%.

Vidispine Observability Initiative

In one of the more technical sessions, we explored how observability is key to managing complex systems like VidiNet. From metrics and logs to AI-driven analysis of deployment snapshots, we’re building toward a future where system insight is as accessible as talking to an assistant.

DeepVA & Vidispine

This hands-on session demonstrated an AI-assisted editing workflow using Vidispine Cognitive Services. Starting with a script and a newsreel, DeepVA showed how multimodal AI can generate narration, match visuals, and automate editing steps—offering a glimpse of what production-ready AI really looks like.

Final Thoughts

This year’s User Group Meeting was a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and community. We are incredibly grateful to all our presenters, partners, and attendees for making it such a memorable event.
