Information on the Processing of Personal Data

The information below provides you with an overview of the processing of your personal data (hereinafter "data") by the Arvato Systems Group* as well as your data protection rights.

The Arvato Systems Group* as Controller in terms of data protection is accountable for the herein covered processing activity/ activities and addressee of your rights as a data subject. We process personal data in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and laws locally applicable.

In order to subscribe to a newsletter, the data entered by you via a registration form will be transmitted to the company and processed further (also with the help of service providers) for the dispatch of news-letters. When registering, your consent will be obtained and saved using the double-opt-in procedure. Your data is not transferred to third parties.

We point out that the company may evaluate your user behaviour when sending newsletters. To carry out this evaluation, the emails sent include web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on the website. For the purpose of evaluations, the company could link your data and the web beacons with your email address and an individual ID. With the data obtained in this manner, the company would be able to create a user profile with which the newsletter can be tailored to your indi-vidual interests. To do this, the company records which links you click on when you read the newslet-ter and uses these to derive your personal interests. The company could associate this data with your behaviour on our website.

You can download newsletters, whitepapers/e-books/studies (hereinafter referred to as content) on current topics from our business areas from our website free of charge if you give us your consent to address them in advertising. The only requirement for the download is the provision of your professional e-mail address, which is stored in our customer database. The downloading of content is also aimed at advertising to business customers in order to inform them about our solutions, services, events and other news. This entrepreneurial diversity can only be illustrated with the help of other Arvato Systems companies, which is why we are entitled, with your consent, to forward your data within our group of companies for advertising purposes.

The legal basis for the processing of the data when registering for the newsletter is the consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO using § 7 Para. 2 No. 3 Act against Unfair Competition (here-inafter referred to as "UWG"). The legal basis for the processing of your data after the purchase of goods and/or services of the company is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO under the use of § 7 para. 3 Act against Unfair Competition (hereinafter referred to as "UWG"). The legitimate interest of the company lies in the acquisition of existing customers.

It is unavoidably necessary for personal data to be collected for the processing purposes outlined above pursuant to contractual and legal requirements. Without this data, we will generally be unable to perform processing.

We use service providers (contract processors) who are bound by instructions and who only have access to your data to the extent and for the period necessary for the provision of the services. If these service providers process your data outside the European Union, this may result in your data being transferred to a country which does not guarantee the same data protection standard as the European Union. However, such a level of data protection can be guaranteed with a suitable guarantee. When selecting service providers, Arvato Systems takes the necessary steps to contractually ensure an equivalent level of data protection.

The data are stored during the subscription of the newsletter. If you withdraw your consent, your data will be blocked for this processing purpose. The data will be stored until contractual and/or legal obliga-tions have been fulfilled and statutory retention periods do not prevent deletion.

You have the right to request access to your personal data, which are currently stored by us. Where these data are incorrect or not up to date, you have the right to request rectification. In addition, you can request erasure and/or restriction of your data where the criteria set out in Art. 17 and 18 of the GDPR are met. Where our processing of data provided by you is based on your consent or is subject of a contract, you may request a copy of these data in a structured, common and machine readable format (right to data portability).

You have the right to object to the processing of your data, Art. 21 GDPR.

If you have given us consent to process your personal data for specific purposes, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future.
